Abdoulaye Cissé was born on 24 December 1983 in Adzopé, a township of Côte d'Ivoire. He used to play as a striker for the Montpellier HSC team during his early days of the career. Gradually he moved on to Al-Khor and later on decided to join the Al-Faisaly club. Currently he plays for the Al-Siliya sport club at the domestic level.
Cissé commenced his football career from the Montpellier HSC. This was his first team and also the team for which, he appeared 104 times and scored 18 goals. This was the time when Abdoulaye played pretty well, but couldn’t score too many goals.
As his game improved, he got promoted to play for his national side, and he represented Burkina Faso at the international level for the first time in the year 2004. Later on, he moved to Al-Siliya Sports Club directly from Al-Faisaly, as he was loaned out by Al-khor Sports Club during the 2006-07.
He was also a member of Burkina Faso National soccer team in the last world cup that finished at the lower level of the group in the first round of competition, and failed to secure place in quarter-finals.
